Running back Brandon Murray ‘20 has not played football for very long, but in his short career, he has made an impact, scoring touchdowns on his first two carries last year. With the return of Murray this year, along with wide receiver Brenton Hewitt ‘20, tight end Patrick Stofila ‘20, cornerback Eric Alvarez ‘21, lineman Evan Williams ‘20, and quarterback Matt Cortez ‘20, the team is shaping up to be a force to be reckoned with. After a disappointing opening game, due to Cortez being sidelined on the fourth play of the game, the team is looking to make the playoffs again this season. Assistant Coach Andy Marafino says the prospects for having a winning season are good and says “If we can just get over that hump and win the first playoff game, I think we could go far. We’ve come so close to winning in the past, only losing by one point, I think these guys could really do well. They are such a good group of kids, not just good players, but good people. I would like to see them have a really successful season.”
